Henry Peach Robinson made the world's first photomontage by combining multiple negatives to form a single image. This image changed the way photography was viewed and opened up a new option for photographers to change there pictures and showed there are no limitations to photography.

Louis Ducos du Hauron took the oldest know colour picture, He photographed each scene through green, orange, and violet filters, when the three positives, usually in the form of transparencies, were superimposed, a full-colour photograph resulted.
